Can't stand the Heat?

I am so out of the kitchen.
I got up and made the girls the week supply of buttermilk/1/2 whole wheat pancakes, then put the lotus seeds on to soak.
I went to Martha to get a recipe for Butternut squash/lotus seed soup.

Then Xian and I made Calzones. Spinach and 4 cheese (ricotta, parmesan, romano, and mozarella) for me, and spinach, 4 cheese and pepperoni for the girls. These will go to work/school with us.

By now it is about lunchtime and what do you need for lunch? Crackers to go with the soup.
This time I used Parmesan and Romano, and 1% milk, which must have more fat than fat free 1/2 and 1/2.
Maybe I should get dressed.
It finally loaded the pix

Bobbers and Poss-Tanked

We investigated the remains of the day, and found something that had dropped out of the truck.

So, after throwing a few stones, as we were without sin, we loaded the refuse that had been left in what had been the forest, and deposited it in a place of honor.

Cracker

We had to try out the recipe on Chuck's blog. I changed it to Romano Cream Crackers since we are out of Parmesan. I used salted butter then, cut out the salt from the recipe. I rolled them thin and cut them up before I baked them. the first were free style cutting, the second were with an old biscuit/cookie cutter. The second was baked on a pan that promotes crispness.

We all agree that they are excellent, no matter what the shape.

I think that these two will enjoy them. Gonzo sure does!

Flipping the Lid

It is warmer, and the giant dinosaur is ripping away at the top of the tank.

and here is a short closer look.

This may be the last of the movies, since I hope to be back at work tomorrow.

To kill time while uploading these movies, I made chocolate crinkle cookies

Two of the cookies in the first batch were not rolled in granulated sugar first. Which ones?

and a final look at the tank.

Tank Update

Mom wanted to see the progress. They started late today.

The sound is much like living next to a switching yard. No wonder Ms M fell soundly asleep.

Here is a different angle- from Ruth's Yard

Tank Tanked

Here is how day 3 ended at the Tank. Xin and I threw rocks, but could not get any on top.

Group 11 Tank,cont

It is cold, windy and snowing, but here are this mornings pictures. We will have to try this pm to get inside pictures.

And if you want to throw rocks, you had better hurry. The Giant Monster Jaws of Death is doing massive damage to the tank. The area where the flower was, was the first to go. Coincidence? I think not.

These are taken at 1:30, with the others starting at 7:30am
